The final essay is worth 25% of your final grade.  It is due at the beginning of Week 15, Class 2 (June 9, 10, or 11 depending on your class time).  Papers turned in more than 5 minutes past the start of class will lose points.  5% will be taken off the essay grade for each minute after the first 5 minutes of class.

Assignment:  Write a five-paragraph persuasive essay that uses Monroe’s Motivated Sequence (MMS).

Rules:

1.  Your paper must use MMS and your approved thesis statement.  Papers that do not use MMS or the approved thesis statement will lose 50% of the essay grade.

2.  Your paper must follow all the rules we learned in the English Writing course.  It should use the essay rubric as a checklist.
